2019
THE ORIGINS
As a trained house painter, Aurélien founded his first company in 2018. Attracted by faux finishes since his adolescence, he practiced decorative painting techniques for several years : marbling, wood graining, trompe-l'œil, etc. Supported by experienced painters, he participated in his first Decorative Painters's Exhibition in Chamonix.
2020
BEST CRAFTSMAN OF FRANCE (RMC)
Best Craftsman of France competition : Aurélien wins the title in the Painting and Decoration category. Cédric and Olivier, who have each commissioned Aurélien to create painted decorations, recognize in him a rigor and a talent that resonates with their own values and awakes their curiosity.
They then closely follow the young painter's career.
2021
ENCOUNTER
Aurélien wants to pass on the legacy others have left him ;
he welcomes Alexandra, a designer and interior architect, for a decorative painting internship. After a few weeks, it clicks; becoming a decorative painter becomes a natural calling for her.
Very quickly, the values she shares with Aurélien, the complementarity of their skills and personalities, give rise to a technical and creative partnership that will later become the heart of the company.
2022
SALON DU PATRIMOINE
Louvre Museum, Heritage Exhibition: Accompanied by Cédric, Olivier, and Alexandra, Aurélien decides to exhibit there. The exhibition is prestigious, the workload enormous, and the preparation
time short. As a reward for their efforts, their display is a great success with both private and professional visitors.
2023
COMPANY FOUNDING
Recognizing the strength that emerges from their collaboration and the complementarity of their profiles, Aurélien, Alexandra, Olivier and Cédric decided to create the company Déco2A Design in order to develop the brand Atelier Francisco.
2025
LABELS
In 2025, Atelier Francisco received two major distinctions :
- The "Métier d'art" qualification, which recognizes its exceptional craftsmanship and its unwavering commitment to quality, creativity, and mastery of both traditional and contemporary techniques.
- The "Qualibat" qualification, a guarantee of reliability.
